Personal Trainer in Thousand Oaks, CA

I don't run a studio in Thousand Oaks, and that's on purpose. Most Thousand Oaks clients train with me at a private training facility in Westlake Village (a short drive away) or at home. You skip the drive to a studio built around my schedule instead of yours, and you still get someone standing next to you watching your form, adjusting your program, and holding you to it.

Where sessions happen

My default setup is a private training facility in Westlake Village or your home — both give us full run of the equipment without worrying about gym policy or a crowded floor. If you'd strongly prefer to train at your own gym, mention it on our first call and I'll let you know if that's workable; it depends on the specific gym.

How it works if we train at your house

For home sessions, I bring what most garages and living rooms are missing — resistance bands, adjustable dumbbells if you don't have your own — and build around what you've got. A two-car garage with 10 feet of open floor is enough for a full strength session.

Who I work with in Thousand Oaks

Mostly busy professionals working the Conejo corridor, parents juggling school pickup at schools like Weathersfield or Ladera, and people who've tried the big-box gym on their own and stopped going. A few clients combine strength sessions with the trail access Thousand Oaks is known for — Wildwood Regional Park and Los Robles Open Space are both good for the conditioning work we sometimes layer in between lifting days.

What a program looks like

We start with a call to talk through your goals, schedule, injury history, and what equipment you have access to. From there I build a plan around progressive overload and periodization — meaning the program changes on purpose over time instead of repeating the same routine — plus nutrition guidance, since most fat-loss and strength plateaus come down to what's happening off the gym floor, not on it. Most Thousand Oaks clients train 2–4x per week and see measurable change in the first 6–8 weeks.
